About Bulwadda
Bulwadda Parish is located approximately 30 miles from Kampala in Nakaseke District, Central Uganda. Home to over 5,000 residents spread across eight villages, this community has faced significant challenges throughout its history.
During the 1980s civil conflict, Bulwadda Parish was severely affected, leaving lasting impacts on infrastructure, health services, and educational facilities. Today, the community continues to grapple with limited access to healthcare, inadequate educational resources, and infrastructure gaps that affect daily life.
Despite these challenges, the spirit of Bulwadda remains strong. Community members are determined to create a better future for their children through improved healthcare and quality education.
Our Mission
Our mission is clear: to transform Bulwadda Parish through two critical interventions that address the community's most pressing needs.
Building a fully-equipped health centre to provide:
Safe delivery services to reduce maternal mortality
Emergency care for malaria, accidents, and critical conditions
Immunization services to protect children
Rainwater harvesting for sustainable water supply
Healthcare services within reach, not 10 kilometers away
Building a proper school facility for 160+ children currently learning in:
An old church building converted to classrooms
Makeshift wooden structures
Inadequate facilities that limit learning potential
Goal: A 10-room, double-story school building with proper classrooms, latrines, and facilities to give children the education foundation they deserve.
